Well, back from my Christmas vacation, and still looking forward to good things. As I get older, I find more and more that I really love New Years Eve almost as much as Christmas itself. It’s a time to celebrate the successes of the last year, let go of the things that could have gone better, and consider what habits I can start that will put me in an even better place either spiritually, healthwise, family wise, or financially when it comes time to ring the bells for 2016.
So, let’s see what we can do today to help you get some publishing credits to brag about in 2015! I’m still taking submissions for the brag board, anytime. Just send them to me at NicolecFord86@Gmail.com.
Here, then, is the last 2014 market.
Mash is a contest that runs every quarter. The goal is to write a 500 word piece using three key words.
Submission Time- There’s always a Mash contest going on, so if you miss a deadline, there’s another coming right after it. The next deadline is January 15th.
Word Count- 500 words.
Payout- $100 plus publication.
Response time- They’re pretty good about letting you know within a few weeks if your piece was shortlisted or not. After that, you’ll have to wait until after the deadline for the shortlist voting to start.
